Unemployment Issues

Southern Asia and India show high levels of unemployment in the global market. Although the GDP seems to have hiked about 20 to 34% yet there remains no progress in the statistics of the number of unemployed in these regions. Though liberalization and industrialization have increased considerably over a period of time yet the stats of the level of employment do not show any increase at all. One-fifth of the labour force of Asia Pacific is made of youth and that is roughly about only half of the jobless population. Now, that fact definitely calls in for a Paradigm shift, doesn’t it?

SEZ Special Economic Zone

SEZ – Special Economic Zone is a venture brought in by the government of India. Such zones have been set up in public sector, private sector, joint sector etc. By definition, SEZ is a delineated duty free territory also deemed and considered as a foreign territory for trade operations and tariffs. All the units of an SEZ are foreign exchange earners and the primary reason for this is to bring in increased foreign investments and set up an internationally competitive economic environment to boost India’s exports. Various Tax benefits, custom and excise duties, central sales tax exemptions are available for an SEZ developer.

Crossword Origin

Crosswords date their origin back to 1913. The master mind behind the invention of Crosswords is Arthur Wynne. The earlier versions of the game was in the form of Word Square and can be traced back to even the Roman period. The other forms of Crossword in history include Sator square and double word square. The book launched by Simon and Schuster was the trend setter of the crossword era. British Crossword Puzzle is more of the cryptic sort. Later softwares were introduced to create crosswords. The first patented crossword generator was known as Crossword Weaver.

Media and Eating disorders

Media has the most profound influence on people when compared to other modes of communication. But not to mention it has both good and bad influences. For eg., Media is the primary reason for the rise of eating disorders like Anorexia, Bulimia etc. The minds of young girls are bombarded by images of models and celebrities who are unhealthily skinny. While girls tend to get weight conscious and decide to lose weight, what happens with the boys is exactly the reverse. Six Pack abdomen and macho-man looks drive these kids around to hitting the gym much earlier than they should and encourage the usage of steroids etc which is bad for health.
